Ps 41:1  Blessed is he who considers the poor;
The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
NKJV

Ps 41:3 The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness;

ILLNESS HER MEANS: OT:2483 choliy (khol-ee'); from OT:2470; malady, anxiety, calamity:  KJV - disease, grief, (is) sick (-ness).

Another word here in this portion has the idea of  languising - sickness, loathing, sorrowful  - so we can say this could be mental anguish, anxiety, sorrows for things done or not done, even broken hearts or broken minds.....

so Gods promise to the one who considers the poor and needy -

read next - HE WILL SUSTAIN

You will sustain him on his sickbed.
NKJV

SUSTAIN:    STRENGTHEN IN kjv -

 ca`ad
OT:5582 ca`ad (saw-ad'); a primitive root; to suport (mostly figurative):
KJV - comfort, establish, hold up, refreshself, strengthen, be upholden.

THE PROMISE HERE IS that He will Bless the one who rembers the poor - He will deliver him / her OUT OF TROUBLE

and

even if we are taken by illness - HE WILL SUSTAIN US - IN THE SICKBED

choliy

OT:2483 choliy (khol-ee'); from OT:2470; malady, anxiety, calamity:  KJV - disease, grief, (is) sick (-ness).
